Harvest Party Features - Round One!

Sorry it's been so quiet around here again this week. I'm getting ready to host a Shutterfly party this weekend and my house needed a little TLC in order to be party-worthy. I've also been a little inundated with orders this week and trying to get some new gift sets posted. Which is good for me, but it means that this poor little blog gets a little neglected. Hopefully after the party (and while my house is still clean), posting will resume as normal and I can get back to some projects I've been itching to get to!

And because Andyroo's loves Snoopy, this one caught my eye. Linda from Our House on the Corner uses some fun Snoopy push-ins to make a Snoopy pumpkin. How cute! I'm going to have to try something like this for Andyroo next year!

I know we've featured Design DNA before in our party features, but holy cow! She has some amazing ideas for Halloween decor - stuff that's cheap and easy! The latest idea that I'm in love with? Man Eating Plants!

And how about this Interactive Monster Wreath from Creating Sarah!? If you pull on the candy in the middle, the eyes and teeth of the monsters pop open. You HAVE to go see how she made it!

One of my favorites is the Halloween Spell Book from Design DNA. I love, love, love that it uses common crafting supplies. I know I have everything on hand and might just have to give it a try!

Check out the Cowboy and Indian Princess Costumes that Joy in the Jumble created for less than $10! That's my kind of project! And so cute too!

I've seen all sorts of bat collages around blogland lately, but I love that Lorie from Reading Confetti used handprints to make bats! You have to go see the picture of her son's expression when he first saw the bats. Priceless! And Lorie - I'm in LOVE with your kitchen, by the way!!

Faves from the Great Halloween Link-up!

It's officially October! Is that weird to anyone else? If it weren't for the fabulous, family-filled holidays coming up, I would totally be in denial! I swear it was just February and snowing!

Anyway, I thought it would be fun to do some features from our Halloween Party!

The most viewed link so far was this awesome Happy Halloween Printable from Loving Every Second. How cool is that? It's a printable that looks like it was printed on burlap!

I love a good upcycle, so these Juice Bottle Ghosts from Itsy Bitsy Paper are right up my alley! I don't drink the Tropicana juice, but I might have to give these a try with the juice bottles we do have!

I also loved looking back at the last 8 years of costumes from Big D and Me. Jennifer has some great, easy costumes ideas. Very inspirational!

The Great Halloween Link Up!!

Here at Life in the Motherhood, we're big Halloween fans, especially Heather! Before she moved to Hawaii, she and her husband would throw the best Halloween parties. Costumes were mandatory, prizes were given, and kids were left at home! And man. The costume contest got pretty intense.

With Halloween right around the corner (less than 40 days!), we thought it would be fun to host our own Halloween party! We'd love to see your costume ideas, Halloween decor, and shindig swag!
