Reward Chart

I've needed to make the boys a new Reward Chart for a while now. Our old one I made only with paper and was destroyed pretty quickly being so flimsy. I didn't want to make anything too fancy because of time but needed something to keep their interest. So...when I was running through Walmart and came upon the Foam Crafts section I was jumping for joy. I grabbed some peel and stick zoo animals, peel and stick glitter foam, and some regular colored foam. I already had markers, crayons, and scissors at home.

Once I had all my pieces out to look at I decided on my savanna theme. I took my green glitter foam and turned it over and drew grass to cut out.

My youngest had lots of fun helping me pick off the pieces in between the grass blades. That was the easiest way to cut the grass btw. ;)

I then did an eyeball measurement for my water and set both the water and grass aside so I could draw my sketch on the yellow foam.

Before sticking anything to the chart I placed everything where I wanted them first. I wrote my boys' first names on the two monkeys that were going to be crossing the savanna to talk to their animal friends before finally reaching their monkey friends on the other side.

With my boys being so young my chart only has 6 spaces to go before they get to their reward space. It helps keep their interest if they can make it by the end of each day. The last thing I did was put it up on the fridge and explain how the new chart works. They are very excited to have good behavior to be able to move their monkeys. :)
